Lot 209 – Porsche 944 Turbo FSH 1987
Estimated Value : £20,000 – £25,000
Surely one of the best Porsche 944 Turbo’s available today. Every part of this car is beautiful.
We all know how quick these cars are but the owner of this car decided that was not enough and the same time as a new cam shaft and balance shaft belts were fitted it was then “Chipped” so now producing 281 BHP at 5,800 revs and 325 lb ft at 4,100 so reducing the already respectable 0-60 from 6.0 secs to 5.1 secs, while theoretical top speed increased to 165 mph (“if” all this extra grunt is to much the original chip is available).
During its recommissioning the wheels were restored then fitted with a new set of premium tyres and the outer sills were replaced. Its metallic blue paint that has a slight tinge of pale lavender, was corrected where necessary so now the body work is excellent. This unusual colour compliments the lovely black leather interior which while benefiting from ice cold air conditioning, electrically adjustable seats and electric sun roof, still has the original steering wheel and cassette music centre.
Mechanically there are no known problems and it drives superbly there is a comprehensive and extensive service history with 28 stamps in service book plus other service and workshop invoices, all backing up its low 124K mileage.
Coming with two sets of keys and although there is a current MOT till August, a fresh MOT. This superb car will not only be a pleasure to own and drive, but with prices of all front engine Porsches heading up wards at a rate of knots, an excellent investment for its new owner.
