Lot 188 – Jaguar MK2 3.8 Auto Photograhic Restoration 1964
Estimated Value : £25,000 – £30,000
Stunning! That is the only way you can describe the pictorial history of the restoration that took place between 2004 and 2013 on this beautiful MK2 Jaguar. Culminating in a win at the Cape drivers Jaguar Club “ Concours D’Elegance 2013”. Over 150 A4 size full gloss pictures in two lovely padded folders. Documenting from start when it was a solid and inherently rust free but feeling sorry for its self, white with red leather 3.4 litre car to finish in this resplendent Quartz grey over blue leather you see here today. Further attention to detail is evident in the fitting of an air conditioning system (untried belt off), electric engine cooling fans and a bespoke stainless steel exhaust system, all again fully documented. The clocks were all stripped and rebuilt, during which the mileage was zeroed. Now reading 1862 this is the mileage covered since this mammoth project was completed.
Imported into the UK in 2015 and correctly registered on its manufactured date of 1964, it has been in a private collection since then, so new to the market and representing a rare chance to buy such a stunning example of one of the most popular and desirable Jaguars on the Classic Car market today.
